Se anunciaron las nominaciones de la 72 edición de los Globos de Oro que otorga la prensa extranjera de Hollywood, la ceremonia de premiación se llevará a cabo el 11 de enero de 2015.
El anuncio fue realizado en la mañana de este jueves 11 de diciembre por los actores Kate Beckinsale, Jeremy Piven, Peter Krause y Paula Patton.
Birdman, película dirigida por el mexicano Alejandro González Iñarritu, se colocó como la que más nominaciones acumuló con un total de 7, seguida por Boyhood, de Richard Linklater y The Imitation Game, de Morten Tyldum con 5. Perdida, de David Fincher El Gran Hotel Budapest, de Wes Anderson, Selma, de Ava DuVernay y La teoría del todo (Theory of Everything), de James Marsh sumaron 4, mientras Big Eyes, de Tim Burton y Foxcatcher, de Bennet Miller tuvieron 3 nominaciones.
Además de las categorías respectivas al cine, con un total de 14, se anunciaron las 11 categorías que reconocen a la televisión norteamericana.
